Sally's Bridal Shower

Sally's Bridal Shower

So, I'm finally trying to catch up a little on my blogging...well, actually the problem is that I can't keep up with all of my pictures lately!!!! The last weekend in June we had Sally's bridal shower at her parents house near Titusville. The girls and I, along with the ringbearer, Caed, and his
mom Lauren, stayed with Sally and her mom for the whole weekend! We had a blast visiting (I'll post the farm visit pictures in another entry) and the shower was beautiful!
Here are the centerpieces and favors (the favor boxes have mint lifesavers inside...I spent so much time "designing" the favor box, then couldn't think of what to put inside!!!)

This is sweet Caedmon, the ringbearer. (The girls were running around so much, I really didn't get any great pictures of them!)

The bridal party: BACK ROW: Lauren (future sister in law of sally), Bri, Cassie, and Gwen (all cousins of Sally); FRONT ROW: me, Sally, and Darlene (Sally's roommate from college).

First Boat Ride!

Thursday night we went on a boat ride with our small group - Makenzie and Kendall included! Last year, the girls didn't even like the sound of the boat, but this year Kendall loved it!!! Makenzie was a little nervous, but she didn't cry (well, not until around 8:00 when she started having a meltdown over wearing her wet lifejacket!!) We had two boats, and we drove out to a quiet spot and tied the boats together and had dinner. Kendall loved being able to climb all over the boat and floating in the tube (I was the one being nervous!!!) Makenzie wanted to get in the water with Daddy, so he had a good workout treading water and holding her up!! We had a blast, and I am so glad the girls had a POSITIVE experience trying something new!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! To celebrate, this morning I ran in a 5K with Julie and Shane, while Jason took the girls to breakfast. Then we headed to a little picnic at Shane and Julie's...unfortunately we didn't get to stay long; Makenzie was TOTALLY scared of the trains that go past their house. She has been SO scared of everything this week!!! (I'll tell you more about the cow story when I post those pictures.)

A Visit from Jess

My friend Jessica came in to visit on Monday and the girls LOVED it! They played dress up & dance all day with her! I am so excited that Jess and I will get to spend more time together now! (And I think Makenzie and Kendall are too!) ...Yes, those are leotards and yes, they did wear them to the Meadow's for ice cream!!!!

MOPS Open House

Today we went to a MOPS open house at the park! The girls had a great time on the playground and seeing their friends (although I think Makenzie was confused when I told her we were going to MOPS at a park...because she sees MOPS and "a park" as two different things!!!!) We had lunch and snacks and then it started to rain!
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers (moms of kids under age 5) with a mission of helping make better moms!! (If you'd like to know more about MOPS or join a MOPS group check out their website www.mops.org and search for a group near your zip code.)
