We did it!

Half Marathon Runners!!!

Yesterday was the big half-marathon that we've been training for in the last 4 months!! We all did so awesome!!! I finished the 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 23 minutes, which averages about 11 minutes per mile (I was shooting for 12-minute miles, so I did a lot better than I hoped!!!)

Trip to the Zoo

Since Jason had some time off this week, we decided to take the girls for their first trip to the zoo. They LOVED it!!!! The entire drive we heard periodic "roars" from the back seat. They couldn't wait to see the lion and tiger. At the end of the day, it was the lion and tiger who were chosen to come home with us (as stuffed animals.) Their curiousity and excitement is just so amazing and fun to watch. Kendall seriously could not stop laughing at the monkeys - she just thought it was hilarious how they were swinging and climbing around! We had a blast - although I am still learning settings for my new lens, so I didn't get as many great pics as I would have liked :(

Birthday Club

Sunday night we had our first Birthday Club dinner...for me! We had a blast at Red Lobster (Sally came into visit and work on invitations). Can I it say again...I have such great friends!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Wow. It has been so very clear to me today how blessed that I am...I really think I spent MOST of the day on the phone...talking to family and friends (some who I haven't talked to in a while) all who called just to wish me a happy birthday!! I usually think to myself, wow, I've got a lot of great friends, but today absolutely blew me away! I love all of you and am so glad that you are part of my life, whether near or far. Plus I've got these two cuties (above pic) along with an amazing husband (who left a BD gift in my car while I was running 5 miles last night, of chocolate and the Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus CDs!!!) Thank you God for all that you have blessed me with in my 29 years here. Happy Birthday to Me!
